About the Jeanneau Cap Camarat 6.5

The Jeanneau Cap Camarat 6.5 CC is the boat most families with children end up on: 6.5 metres, a centre console you can walk around, proper forward seating for the whole group, a swim platform at the stern for getting in and out of the water, and a small toilet (head) on board — rare on a boat this size and welcome on a full day out. It carries up to eight guests, and the 175 HP outboard cruises at around 25 kn, which puts Lokrum roughly 10 minutes from Marina Frapa, Koločep and the Elaphiti Islands about 25 and Cavtat within a half-day. A cooler box, an anchor and rope and life jackets are on board.

At over 5 metres it needs a recognised national boating licence or an ICC for self-drive; bring the original to the pier. If nobody in the group holds one, add a skipper for €50 on a half-day or €70 on a full day and the boat becomes a private tour with a local at the wheel who knows the anchorages. Slots are a half-day of 4 hours, departing 10:00 or 14:00, at €330, or a full day of 8 hours from 10:00 to 18:00 at €530.

Fuel is charged on top according to what you actually use and settled at the marina when you return. A typical full day: Koločep for a first swim, Lopud and Šunj sandy beach for the middle of the day with lunch in the village, and a last stop on the Lapad side of Lokrum on the way home. A half-day is Lokrum, the Old Town walls from the sea and a swim in a cove.

Every rental starts with a safety and boat-handling briefing at the pier. The boat departs from Marina Frapa Dubrovnik, Lapadska obala 21a, about 15 minutes by taxi (roughly 4 km) from the Old Town. Pay online through Stripe Checkout or at the marina by arrangement.

Licence, fuel and skipper

At 6.5 m the Jeanneau Cap Camarat 6.5 is over the 5 m / 5 kW threshold, so self-drive needs a recognised national boating licence or an International Certificate of Competence (ICC) — bring the original to the pier. The rule comes from the Croatian boating regulations administered by the Croatian Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure.

Fuel is included on the Pasara 5 HP. On every other boat, fuel is charged on top according to what you actually use, settled at the marina when you return.

Skipper add-on: €50 per half-day, €70 per full day (€80 full day on the Fisher 20), on boats where it is offered.

If DHMZ (the Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service) issues a marine wind warning for the day, we cancel and refund 100% — even inside 24 hours. Cancellations inside 24 hours for other reasons are non-refundable, but we will rebook you into the next available slot free of charge whenever we can.

We follow the official marine forecast from DHMZ — Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service rather than a phone app, and the skipper at the pier decides on the day whether conditions are suitable for self-drive.

Do I need a licence to rent this boat?

Check the spec table on this page. Boats under 5 m with engines up to 5 kW — our Pasara 5 HP — need no licence under Croatian law. Every other boat needs a recognised national boating licence or ICC for self-drive, or you can add one of our skippers for €50 per half-day or €70–€80 per full day.

Is fuel included?

Fuel is included on the Pasara 5 HP. On every other boat it is charged on top according to what you actually use, settled at the marina when you return — a short run to Lokrum costs less than a full day in the Elaphiti Islands. The rental price covers the boat, life jackets, safety briefing and third-party liability insurance.

Where exactly do we meet, and at what time?

At Marina Frapa Dubrovnik, Lapadska obala 21a, about 15 minutes by taxi from the Old Town. Half-day rentals depart at 10:00 or 14:00 and full-day rentals at 10:00, returning by 18:00. We send a Google Maps pin and a contact number by email after you book, and parking is available at the marina.

What if the weather is bad?

If DHMZ (the Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service) issues a marine wind warning for your day, we cancel and refund 100%, even inside 24 hours. If you would rather keep the trip, we move you to the next available slot free of charge whenever we can. We never send a boat out in unsafe conditions.
