About this tour

The shared sunset tour runs the same two-hour route as our private evening cruise at a fraction of the per-person price: €30 each, with a welcome drink, on a boat that carries at most 12 guests. It departs Marina Frapa at 17:00 and returns at 19:00. From Gruž harbour the skipper runs round the Lapad peninsula to the Old Town and slows under Fort Lovrijenac, then follows the seaward walls to the old harbour and St John's Fortress — the stretch of coast the walls were built to face.

Lokrum, the forested island opposite, is the swim stop: the boat anchors in a rocky cove for about 40 minutes, so bring swimwear and a towel. The return follows the coast back towards Gruž as the afternoon light softens. One honest note on timing: in June and July the sun does not set until after 20:00, so this tour returns in golden light rather than at the moment of sunset; from September onwards the return coincides with the sunset itself.

If you want to be on the water for the sunset itself in high summer, the private cruise has 18:00 and 19:00 departures. It suits couples who would rather spend the saving on dinner, solo travellers, and small groups on their last evening in Dubrovnik. Children pay the same €30 as adults.

The price includes the skipper, fuel, safety equipment and the welcome drink. The tour departs from Marina Frapa Dubrovnik, Lapadska obala 21a, about 15 minutes by taxi from the Old Town — please be at the pier a little before 17:00. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure; if DHMZ issues a marine wind warning for the day we cancel and refund in full, and whenever possible offer you the next available evening instead.

Meeting point, weather and cancellation

The tour departs from and returns to Marina Frapa Dubrovnik, Lapadska obala 21a, 20000 Dubrovnik — about 15 minutes by taxi (roughly 4 km) from the Old Town. Parking is available at Marina Frapa. Please be at the pier a little before your departure time.

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure with a full refund. If DHMZ (the Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service) issues a marine wind warning for the day, we cancel and refund 100% — even inside 24 hours. Cancellations inside 24 hours for other reasons are non-refundable, but we will rebook you into the next available slot free of charge whenever we can.

We follow the official marine forecast from DHMZ — Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service, and the skipper has the final say on the route and timing on the day.

Lokrum is a protected nature reserve managed by the Lokrum Reserve; the swim stop is from the boat in a cove off the island.

Pay securely online by card through Stripe Checkout, or by card or cash at the marina by prior arrangement.

Questions about this tour

What is included in the tour price?

Every tour price includes a licensed skipper, fuel and safety equipment, so there is nothing to settle when you return. Private tours are priced per group of up to 12 guests; shared tours are priced per person, with a child rate. Food and drink ashore and the Mljet National Park entry ticket are not included.

Which Blue Cave do your tours visit?

The Koločep Blue Cave in the Elaphiti Islands, about 25 minutes from Marina Frapa Dubrovnik — not the Biševo Blue Cave in central Dalmatia, which is more than 200 km away and cannot be reached on a day trip from Dubrovnik. Book a slot that puts you in the cave between 11:00 and 13:00 for the brightest light.

Where does the tour start and end?

All tours depart from and return to Marina Frapa Dubrovnik at Lapadska obala 21a, about 15 minutes by taxi (roughly 4 km) from the Old Town. Departure times are fixed per tour and shown on this page, so please be at the pier a little before your slot. Parking is available at the marina.

What happens if the weather is bad?

If DHMZ (the Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service) issues a marine wind warning for the day, we cancel the tour and refund 100%, even inside 24 hours. Where possible we offer the next available departure instead, free of charge. Tours never run in conditions our skippers consider unsafe.
