Privacy Policy

Who we are

Technic One d.o.o. (trading as Rent Boat Dubrovnik and as Garitransfer), OIB 63056167991, VAT HR63056167991, registered seat Vinogradarska 10, 20236 Nova Mokošica, Croatia. We are the data controller for the data collected through this website. Our customer-facing base is Marina Frapa Dubrovnik, Lapadska obala 21a, 20000 Dubrovnik.

What we collect

Booking data: name, email, phone, departure date and time, group size, notes you add to the form.
Payment data: handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store card numbers; we receive the payment status and a receipt reference.
Usage data: pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate country, and — where enabled — anonymised interaction recordings and heatmaps.
Attribution: campaign parameters (utm_*, referrer) stored in your own browser for up to 30 days and attached to a booking so we know which channel it came from.

Why we collect it

To take and confirm bookings and to run the trip you booked (performance of a contract).
To process your payment and refunds through Stripe.
To answer enquiries sent by email, phone or WhatsApp.
To understand how the site is used and improve it (legitimate interest; you can opt out of analytics through your browser settings).
To meet Croatian fiscal and accounting obligations (legal obligation).

Processors we use

Stripe — card payments and receipts (Stripe Payments Europe, EU; data may be transferred to the US under Stripe's safeguards).
Mailgun — transactional email (booking confirmations and operator notifications), EU region.
Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, edge caching and the serverless functions behind the booking form.
Hotjar — anonymised behaviour analytics (heatmaps and session recordings with form inputs masked).
Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity — site analytics, only where enabled, with IP anonymisation.
Google Maps — the embedded map on the homepage and contact page loads from Google when you scroll to it.
WhatsApp (Meta) — when you choose to message us there, Meta's own privacy terms apply.
Croatian tax authority — invoice data only, as required by law.

We do not sell personal data and do not share it with marketing partners.

How long we keep it

Booking enquiries without a booking: 2 years.
Booking and payment records: 11 years (Croatian accounting law).
Analytics data: up to 14 months.
Attribution parameters: 30 days, in your browser only.

Cookies and local storage

We use first-party storage for attribution parameters and, where analytics are enabled, third-party cookies set by Hotjar, Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. Stripe sets its own cookies on the checkout page it hosts. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the booking form works without them.

Your rights (GDPR)

You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing by emailing info@rentboatdubrovnik.com. We answer within 30 days. You may also complain to the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP).
