About the Quicksilver 755

The Quicksilver 755 Sun-Deck is where the fleet moves from day boats to small cruisers. At 7.55 metres it has a real cabin with a marine toilet and a sink, a large bow sun-bed, shaded seating for up to nine guests and a 225 HP outboard that cruises at about 26 knots. That combination — space, a toilet and speed — is what the long days need, and it is the boat we send on the Mljet, Korčula and Hvar private tours.

A cooler box, an anchor and rope and life jackets are on board. At over 5 metres it needs a recognised national boating licence or an ICC for self-drive; bring the original to the pier. Without one, add a skipper for €50 on a half-day or €70 on a full day — for the long crossings we recommend it regardless of licence, because the skipper knows the channels, the afternoon wind and where to anchor.

Slots are a half-day of 4 hours, departing 10:00 or 14:00, at €430, or a full day of 8 hours from 10:00 to 18:00 at €630. Fuel is charged on top according to what you actually use and settled at the marina when you return; on a 225 HP boat a full day to Mljet uses noticeably more than a day in the Elaphiti Islands, so ask for an estimate when you book. Where it goes: a half-day covers Lokrum (about 10 minutes from Marina Frapa), the Old Town walls and the Elaphiti Islands (about 25 minutes).

A full day reaches the Mljet National Park coast (around 75 minutes each way), Korčula town (just under two hours) or, for the fastest group, Hvar. Every rental starts with a safety and boat-handling briefing at the pier. It suits larger families and groups of friends who want a day out together without splitting across two boats.

Best for

Licence, fuel and skipper

At 7.55 m the Quicksilver 755 is over the 5 m / 5 kW threshold, so self-drive needs a recognised national boating licence or an International Certificate of Competence (ICC) — bring the original to the pier. The rule comes from the Croatian boating regulations administered by the Croatian Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure.

Fuel is included on the Pasara 5 HP. On every other boat, fuel is charged on top according to what you actually use, settled at the marina when you return.

Skipper add-on: €50 per half-day, €70 per full day (€80 full day on the Fisher 20), on boats where it is offered.

Third-party liability insurance is included with every rental; full policy terms are available on request before you book.

Weather, cancellation and payment

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure with a full refund. If DHMZ (the Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service) issues a marine wind warning for the day, we cancel and refund 100% — even inside 24 hours. Cancellations inside 24 hours for other reasons are non-refundable, but we will rebook you into the next available slot free of charge whenever we can.

We follow the official marine forecast from DHMZ — Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service rather than a phone app, and the skipper at the pier decides on the day whether conditions are suitable for self-drive.

Do I need a licence to rent this boat?

Check the spec table on this page. Boats under 5 m with engines up to 5 kW — our Pasara 5 HP — need no licence under Croatian law. Every other boat needs a recognised national boating licence or ICC for self-drive, or you can add one of our skippers for €50 per half-day or €70–€80 per full day.

Is fuel included?

Fuel is included on the Pasara 5 HP. On every other boat it is charged on top according to what you actually use, settled at the marina when you return — a short run to Lokrum costs less than a full day in the Elaphiti Islands. The rental price covers the boat, life jackets, safety briefing and third-party liability insurance.

Where exactly do we meet, and at what time?

At Marina Frapa Dubrovnik, Lapadska obala 21a, about 15 minutes by taxi from the Old Town. Half-day rentals depart at 10:00 or 14:00 and full-day rentals at 10:00, returning by 18:00. We send a Google Maps pin and a contact number by email after you book, and parking is available at the marina.

What if the weather is bad?

If DHMZ (the Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service) issues a marine wind warning for your day, we cancel and refund 100%, even inside 24 hours. If you would rather keep the trip, we move you to the next available slot free of charge whenever we can. We never send a boat out in unsafe conditions.
