Prices in EUR, VAT included, as of 5 October 2026. On the Pasara 5 HP a skipper can be added for €70 on the half-day slot and €70 on the full day slot — the skipper price in the table is the self-drive rate plus that fee. Fuel is included in the price of this boat.

About the Pasara 5 HP

The Pasara is the boat for people who want a day on the water without paperwork. At 4.5 metres with a 5 HP outboard it sits under the Croatian threshold — boats under 5 m with engines up to 5 kW — so no boating licence is needed to drive it. It carries up to four guests, cruises at about 8 knots and has a bimini sun-shade, an anchor and rope for swim stops, and life jackets for everyone on board.

It is the only boat in our fleet with fuel included in the rental price, so the amount you pay at checkout is the amount you pay. Rent it for a half-day (4 hours, departing 10:00 or 14:00) at €150, or a full day (8 hours, 10:00–18:00) at €200. If you would rather have someone else at the tiller, a skipper can be added for €70 per slot.

Where to go: at 8 knots this is a boat for the Dubrovnik coast rather than long crossings. Lokrum, the nature-reserve island opposite the Old Town, is about 10 minutes from Marina Frapa and has rocky coves for swimming; the run along the Old Town walls, Fort Lovrijenac and the Lapad peninsula is easy; and on a calm full day the nearest Elaphiti island, Koločep, is within reach — the skipper at the pier will tell you honestly what the conditions allow. Before departure you get a safety briefing at the pier covering the engine, the anchor and the areas to avoid close to the walls.

Couples, families with children and first-time boaters are the usual crew. The Pasara departs from Marina Frapa Dubrovnik, Lapadska obala 21a, about 15 minutes by taxi (roughly 4 km) from the Old Town; parking is available at the marina. Pay online by card through Stripe Checkout or, by arrangement, at the marina.

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure, and a full refund at any time if DHMZ issues a marine wind warning for the day.

Best for

Licence, fuel and skipper

At 4.5 m with a 5 HP engine the Pasara 5 HP sits under the 5 m / 5 kW threshold, so no boating licence is needed to drive it. The rule comes from the Croatian boating regulations administered by the Croatian Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure.

Fuel is included on the Pasara 5 HP. On every other boat, fuel is charged on top according to what you actually use, settled at the marina when you return.

Skipper add-on: €50 per half-day, €70 per full day (€80 full day on the Fisher 20), on boats where it is offered.

Third-party liability insurance is included with every rental; full policy terms are available on request before you book.

Weather, cancellation and payment

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure with a full refund. If DHMZ (the Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service) issues a marine wind warning for the day, we cancel and refund 100% — even inside 24 hours. Cancellations inside 24 hours for other reasons are non-refundable, but we will rebook you into the next available slot free of charge whenever we can.

We follow the official marine forecast from DHMZ — Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service rather than a phone app, and the skipper at the pier decides on the day whether conditions are suitable for self-drive.

Pay securely online by card through Stripe Checkout, or by card or cash at the marina by prior arrangement.

Questions about renting the Pasara 5 HP

Do I need a licence to rent this boat?

Check the spec table on this page. Boats under 5 m with engines up to 5 kW — our Pasara 5 HP — need no licence under Croatian law. Every other boat needs a recognised national boating licence or ICC for self-drive, or you can add one of our skippers for €50 per half-day or €70–€80 per full day.

Is fuel included?

Fuel is included on the Pasara 5 HP. On every other boat it is charged on top according to what you actually use, settled at the marina when you return — a short run to Lokrum costs less than a full day in the Elaphiti Islands. The rental price covers the boat, life jackets, safety briefing and third-party liability insurance.

Where exactly do we meet, and at what time?

At Marina Frapa Dubrovnik, Lapadska obala 21a, about 15 minutes by taxi from the Old Town. Half-day rentals depart at 10:00 or 14:00 and full-day rentals at 10:00, returning by 18:00. We send a Google Maps pin and a contact number by email after you book, and parking is available at the marina.

What if the weather is bad?

If DHMZ (the Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service) issues a marine wind warning for your day, we cancel and refund 100%, even inside 24 hours. If you would rather keep the trip, we move you to the next available slot free of charge whenever we can. We never send a boat out in unsafe conditions.
