About the Quicksilver 805
The Quicksilver 805 Sun-Deck is the flagship of the fleet — the largest boat at 8.05 metres, the most powerful at 300 HP and the fastest at about 30 knots. It has a cabin with a toilet, an outdoor shower for rinsing off after a swim, a large sun-bed, shaded seating for up to ten guests and a Bluetooth speaker. A cooler box, an anchor and rope and life jackets are on board.
It is the boat that makes Hvar — the furthest destination we run — possible inside an 8-hour day. At over 5 metres it needs a recognised national boating licence or an ICC for self-drive; bring the original to the pier. Without one, add a skipper for €50 on a half-day or €70 on a full day.
For a boat of this size and speed, and especially for the long crossings, most groups book it with a skipper and treat it as a private charter. Slots are a half-day of 4 hours, departing 10:00 or 14:00, at €480, or a full day of 8 hours from 10:00 to 18:00 at €680. Fuel is charged on top according to what you actually use and settled at the marina when you return; a 300 HP engine run hard for a day is the largest fuel bill in the fleet, so ask for an estimate for your route when you book.
Where it goes: a half-day covers Lokrum (about 10 minutes from Marina Frapa), the Old Town walls from the sea and the Elaphiti Islands (about 25 minutes) with time to swim. A full day reaches the Mljet National Park coast, Korčula town or Hvar and the Pakleni islands, roughly two hours each way at speed. Every rental starts with a safety and boat-handling briefing at the pier.
It suits groups of up to ten who want everyone on one boat with the comfort of a toilet and shower, and anyone whose plan is the long run rather than the short hop. The Quicksilver 805 departs from Marina Frapa Dubrovnik, Lapadska obala 21a, about 15 minutes by taxi (roughly 4 km) from the Old Town; parking is available at the marina. Licence, fuel and skipper
At 8.05 m the Quicksilver 805 is over the 5 m / 5 kW threshold, so self-drive needs a recognised national boating licence or an International Certificate of Competence (ICC) — bring the original to the pier. The rule comes from the Croatian boating regulations administered by the Croatian Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure.
Fuel is included on the Pasara 5 HP. On every other boat, fuel is charged on top according to what you actually use, settled at the marina when you return.
Skipper add-on: €50 per half-day, €70 per full day (€80 full day on the Fisher 20), on boats where it is offered.
Third-party liability insurance is included with every rental; full policy terms are available on request before you book.
Weather, cancellation and payment
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure with a full refund. If DHMZ (the Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service) issues a marine wind warning for the day, we cancel and refund 100% — even inside 24 hours. Cancellations inside 24 hours for other reasons are non-refundable, but we will rebook you into the next available slot free of charge whenever we can.
We follow the official marine forecast from DHMZ — Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service rather than a phone app, and the skipper at the pier decides on the day whether conditions are suitable for self-drive.
Pay securely online by card through Stripe Checkout, or by card or cash at the marina by prior arrangement.

Do I need a licence to rent this boat?
Check the spec table on this page. Boats under 5 m with engines up to 5 kW — our Pasara 5 HP — need no licence under Croatian law. Every other boat needs a recognised national boating licence or ICC for self-drive, or you can add one of our skippers for €50 per half-day or €70–€80 per full day.
Is fuel included?
Fuel is included on the Pasara 5 HP. On every other boat it is charged on top according to what you actually use, settled at the marina when you return — a short run to Lokrum costs less than a full day in the Elaphiti Islands. The rental price covers the boat, life jackets, safety briefing and third-party liability insurance.
Where exactly do we meet, and at what time?
At Marina Frapa Dubrovnik, Lapadska obala 21a, about 15 minutes by taxi from the Old Town. Half-day rentals depart at 10:00 or 14:00 and full-day rentals at 10:00, returning by 18:00. We send a Google Maps pin and a contact number by email after you book, and parking is available at the marina.
What if the weather is bad?
If DHMZ (the Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service) issues a marine wind warning for your day, we cancel and refund 100%, even inside 24 hours. If you would rather keep the trip, we move you to the next available slot free of charge whenever we can. We never send a boat out in unsafe conditions.
